Dear friends, family and colleagues,
I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors of the Children’s House of Nantucket for the past year. It is a remarkable Montessori school here on the island. My daughter Olivia will be starting there this upcoming school year, and her sister Lilah will follow in two years.
In an effort to maintain affordable tuition for local families, our development committee hosts several annual fundraising events, of which, I am chairing this unique raffle. Tim Thompson, one of the best known, talented and sought after marine artists in the world has donated a signature oil painting. His generosity and enthusiasm has been inspiring. Quidley & Company has been instrumental from the beginning, donated a beautiful gold leaf frame and will host the drawing on October 23rd. They too have been remarkably generous with their time and resources in an effort to help a worthy local cause.
This is a terrific opportunity to help a great Nantucket non-profit program. Your gift affords you a chance at winning a spectacular original oil painting with a $15,000 retail value. Additionally, there are a dozen signed prints also donated by the artist for runners-up.
Any support for The Children’s House is greatly appreciated. All checks should be made out to: “Montessori Children’s House of Nantucket” and sent to me or the gallery, who can also take credit cards. See below for details.
I hope this overture finds you and your families well. Thank you for the time you have already allotted me and any further consideration.
Very best regards,
James D. Feeley

the good thing about oil paintings is that they last very long, they can even last for generations
